NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY RESIDENCY

William Kelley School / Gooseberry Falls / Grand Portage Vistor's Center
Tuesday May 1, 2018 - Thursday May 24, 2018
30+ forth grade students at William Kelley School will take part in a Nature Photography Residency and public exhibit of their best photographs in May. Paul Sundberg, well-known North Shore photographer and naturalist is faculty and will be assisted by Arts Board volunteers. Each student will be provided a camera to use. There will be classroom instruction in basic camera operation and fieldtrips to Gooseberry State Park and Grand Portage National Monument Heritage Center where the students will photograph High Falls, nature and learn about Grand Portage Ojibwe culture from staff, including Travis Novitsky, Grand Portage band member, naturalist and photographer. There will be a public exhibition of student's photographs, Thursday, May 24th...time to be announced.
 
‚ÄčThis residency is funded by the Rosemary & David Good Foundation. Cliffs Foundation provided a grant in support of the purchase of cameras.
